Marital mediation is aimed at people who do not wish to split and are looking for help in order to better function within their daily life as a couple. Marital mediation is not a therapy.
Contrary to marital therapy mediation is seen as short-term (3 to 5 meetings max.) and it finds its area for action in everyday life.
Very often couples lack communication or efficient ways of communicating. The marital mediator will make them reflect on and work towards finding optimal ways to communicate within their own
structure. The aim is that both are able to make the best decisions for themselves, the couple and the family.
